Emergency First Aid at Work

The Emergency First Aid at Work course is six hours long exclusive of breaks, and covers the following:

  • Primary Survey
  • Recovery Position
  • CPR
  • Choking
  • Contents of first aid box
  • Bleeding and shock
  • Burns
  • Seizure
  • Defibrillator use

First Aid at Work

The First Aid at Work Course is 18 hours long exclusive of breaks, and covers:

  • Actions at an incident (including record keeping)
  • Primary Survey
  • Recovery Position
  • CPR
  • Choking
  • Contents of first aid box
  • Bleeding and shock
  • Burns
  • Seizure
  • Defibrillator use
  • Head injury and strokes, plus injury to eyes, ears, nose and mouth
  • Heart attack and angina attack
  • Asthma, anaphylaxis and chest injury
  • Fainting
  • Crush injury, amputation and abdominal wound
  • Diabetic emergency
  • Poisoning
  • Extremes of body temperature
  • Broken bones and soft tissue injury
  • Spinal injury

Paediatric First Aid (6 hour)

Paediatric first aid, 6 hours exclusive of breaks:

  • Actions at the scene of an incident (including record keeping)
  • Primary survey
  • Recovery position for children and for infants
  • CPR for children and for infants
  • Choking for children and infants
  • Bleeding and shock
  • Asthma and anaphylaxis
  • Seizure
  • Childhood illnesses

Paediatric First Aid (12 hour)

Paediatric First Aid, 12 hours exclusive of breaks:

  • Actions at the scene of an incident (including record keeping)
  • Primary survey
  • Recovery position for children and for infants
  • CPR for children and for infants
  • Choking for children and infants
  • Bleeding and shock
  • Asthma and anaphylaxis
  • Seizure
  • Childhood illnesses
  • Poisoning
  • Fracture and spinal injury
  • Head injury plus eyes ears noses and mouths

Anaphylaxis First Aid

Anaphylaxis First Aid, three hours:

  • Primary survey
  • Recovery position
  • CPR
  • Recognition of anaphylaxis
  • Treatment of anaphylaxis including medication

AED (defibrillator)

AED (defibrillator) 3 hours if candidates are new, 2 hours if refresher:

  • Primary Survey
  • Recovery position
  • CPR
  • Defibrillator theory
  • Defibrillator practical

Schools First Aid

Schools First Aid: Can be tailored as required , but will contain the following for certain

  • Primary survey
  • Recovery position
  • CPR for all ages
  • Choking
  • Bleeding and shock

Sports First Aid

Sports First Aid, six hours exclusive of breaks (can be tailored):

  • Actions at incident
  • Primary survey
  • Recovery position
  • CPR
  • Choking
  • Bleeding and shock
  • Head injury
  • Asthma and anaphylaxis
  • Broken bones and soft tissue injury
